Colonel John Stuart Elementary

Weekly Update: June 24th

Dear families,

Welcome to our last full week of school!

It’s Spirit Week! Monday, June 24th is Beach Day, Tuesday, June 25th is Sports Day and Wednesday, June 26th is Rainbow Day. Please see flyer attached for more information.

Please check book bags for a $10.00 voucher to be used at a Nova Scotia Farmer’s Market. The voucher is good until December. The school voucher program is a partnership between Nova Scotia Loyal and the Farmers’ Markets of Nova Scotia aimed at attracting new customers. Nova Scotia Loyal is designed to make it easier to identify Nova Scotia products and provide incentives for consumers to support local businesses. Vouchers were given to all students at Colonel John Stuart, from Pre-primary- grade 6.

A reminder that all library books are to be returned. Ms. Lavictoire is doing inventory to prepare for September.

There is no school for students on June 27th as this is an Assessment and Evaluation day for teachers. Students will be dismissed at 10:35 am on June 28th, which is the last day of school. Bus students are reminded to check Bus Planner for bus drop-off times.

Report cards will be emailed to families on Friday, June 28th. Please ensure we have your most recent email address in PowerSchool so you receive the reports.

A reminder that school supplies will be provided for all Colonel John Stuart Elementary students in Primary-6 for the 2024-2025 school year. This is due to the fundraising efforts of the SAC and Home and School Association.
